After a week of unfavorable weather conditions, fishermen in Akçakoca, a settlement on the Black Sea coast in Düzce, have resumed their activities. The variety of fish available at the market has increased, with species such as whiting, red mullet, turbot, horse mackerel, shad, mullet, and sea bass now on offer. However, prices are currently high as the fishing season is just beginning. Despite the absence of local anchovy fishing, anchovies are available at the market, supplied from the Marmara region.
