Iran exported over 100,000 tons of fishery products worth $228.332 million in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year, including ornamental fish, carp, trout, halva fish, and flounder. The country's aquaculture industry is progressing and has world rankings in the production of certain fishery products, with potential for up to $2 billion in exports. Iran is considered a model for the region and the world in terms of its responsible and central role in the fishing and aquaculture industry, with fishery exports increasing by 67% in the previous year.
