REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Until December 12, 2025, the National Food Agency (Bapanas) has distributed a total of 28.9 thousand tons of rice and 4.2 million liters of cooking oil to disaster-affected areas in Aceh, North Sumatra (Sumut), and West Sumatra (Sumbar). This distribution targets 5.7 million people. Head of Bapanas Andi Amran Sulaiman led the acceleration of distribution through assignments to Perum Bulog. The aid was mobilized since the first week of the disaster to ensure basic needs were met in the three provinces. “The regular food aid program, on the day H, we send it directly. We speed up because the stock of rice and cooking oil is already on site,” said Amran while reviewing the distribution readiness at Dermaga Kolinlamil Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, quoted on Saturday (13/12/2025).
