Since 2013, the price of champignon in Ukraine has seen annual increases, with a notable peak in 2018. However, a decrease of almost 2% was observed in 2020 compared to the previous year. The price fluctuation in 2020 was attributed to the pandemic's impact, with a significant price rise in the first half of the year due to reduced production. Despite the overall increase, the average prices for the latter half of 2020 were lower than in the previous years. The unpredictable pandemic situation caused supply-demand imbalance and price volatility.
