From September 24 to October 1, 2021, state plant quarantine inspectors in Kazakhstan identified 72 violations in the importation of regulated products, including 743 tons of produce, 265 m3 of lumber, and 10,479 saplings from other countries. The majority of these violations involved the lack of a phytosanitary certificate, improper labeling, and failure to undergo secondary inspection. Additionally, the import of pears and apples from Kyrgyzstan led to the identification of the eastern moth, a quarantine object for Kazakhstan. Since the beginning of 2021, 4.9 thousand violations in plant quarantine have been recorded, resulting in administrative fines totaling 367.1 million tenge.
