France is expecting the weakest soft wheat export in observation history, despite a slight increase in forecasts compared to May expectations

Exports of soft wheat from France to third countries during the current agricultural season, ending on June 30, will remain 68% below last year's result, or 3.25 million tons, according to estimates by analysts from the French National Institute for Agricultural and Maritime Products (FranceAgriMer) in their regular June report, cited by the electronic publication APK-Inform. Nevertheless, the forecast is slightly better than the 3.2 million tons predicted in May. In European Union member states, deliveries are expected to reach 6.64 million tons, compared to the 6.55 million tons forecast in May, which represents a 5.6% increase from the previous season. Despite the improved monthly prospects for French soft wheat exports, the quantities will remain the smallest since the 1996-1997 season, when observations of this indicator began.
