French gardeners are demanding a price increase for apples as they face rising costs, leading them to uproot their orchards in several regions. The French National Association of Apples and Pears (ANPP) has reported this issue through its LinkedIn page, citing the need for additional €0.20/kg from customers, distributors, and processors to save the industry. With France being the primary producer of apples, the loss of 1.26 hectares of orchards per day, the association emphasizes the necessity for increased prices to sustain the industry.
