Argentina's exports of Senasa-certified fresh fruits have seen a 6% increase in the first ten months of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019, totaling 797,220.7 tons. This includes 321,278 tons of pear, 247,985 tons of fresh lemon, 98,446 tons of block, 73,956 tons of orange, and 32,767 tons of mandarin. The European Union, the Russian Federation, and the United States are the primary recipients. Notably, pear, lemon, and apple exports have experienced growth, with Brazil, Russia, and the United States being the main markets for pear and lemon respectively. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Senasa has continued to inspect products of plant origin and wooden packaging in commercial export operations, showcasing its resilience and adaptability.
