Russia: Freshwater fish becomes cheaper in Vladivostok

Retail prices for a number of freshwater fish species show a downward trend at the Sports Food Market in Vladivostok. The monitoring showed that prices for such popular fish species among Primorye residents as carp, catfish and silver carp have decreased. So, in March, the retail price of carp was 270 rubles/kg, in April it dropped to 200 rubles, in May – to 140–180 rubles/kg. The price of som from March to May also gradually decreased - in March it was sold at 150 rubles/kg, then its price in April and May dropped to 130 and 100 rubles/kg, respectively. The cost of silver carp decreased from 160-180 rubles/kg in March to 100-150 rubles/kg in May. Prices for crucian carp, compared to March, remained stable – 100 rubles/kg.
