Did Ricardo ever imagine that one day he would be offering his machine to pecan producers? Probably not. And even more: he didn't even imagine that he would ever be offering such a product, in any field. Ecogreen Chip, his company for chipping forest waste machinery, was actually born purely by chance. “Like a game,” recounts Ricardo Fernández, its founder, who reviewed with Bichos de Campo the story that began back in 2017, when he only had a personal need to cover and a lot of inventiveness. “We had bought a piece of land that we wanted to clear and, as burning was not an option because it was a reserve and it was also not economically viable to move all the branches, I investigated and came across the chipper,” Ricardo recalled.
