INTERFAX.RU - From December 1 to 20, Russia exported 3 million 389 thousand tons of major grain crops, which is 14% more than in the same period last year, according to a monitoring report by the Russian Grain Union. As Elena Tyurina, Director of the Analytical Department of the Union, told Interfax, the growth was largely due to a sharp increase in shipments in the second decade of the month. In the first decade, the dynamics were negative - minus 25.7%, she recalled. "In the second decade of December, compared to the same period last year, there was a sharp increase - 1.9 times, to 1 million 927 thousand tons. As a result, the dynamics over two decades turned out to be positive - a growth of 14%, to 3 million 389 thousand tons," she reported. According to her, wheat shipments in the second decade of December more than doubled compared to the second decade of December 2024 - to 1 million 679 thousand tons.
