From Entre Ríos to the world: A cooperative leads pecan production and expands international markets

The province of Entre Ríos is consolidating itself as the main producer of pecan nuts in Argentina with a participation of 60% of the total national hectares planted with this crop. Currently, more than 90% of the production of this dried fruit is destined for export where entities such as the Cooperative La Agrícola Regional, based in the town of Crespo, play a fundamental role. This export profile of the Entre Ríos pecan nut achieved a milestone this September with the shipment of almost 29 tons of the Fancy Mammoth Halves variety in two commercial operations to Russia and the Netherlands. The production of pecan nuts originates in different establishments in the province, such as the "La Elegida" of the Ludi family, located between Aldea San Antonio and Seguí, a few kilometers from Paraná.
