Spanish exports of fresh fruit and vegetables have seen a 9% increase in volume and a 5% increase in value from January to September 2024, reaching nine million tonnes and 13,044 million euros respectively. Fruit exports, which made up 7,379 million euros of the total, experienced a 9.5% increase, with stone fruits, watermelon, melon, and red fruits being the most exported. Vegetable exports, contributing 5,665 million euros, saw a 9% increase in volume but a slight decrease in value, with pepper, lettuce, tomato, and cucumber being the main exports. September saw a 5% increase in sectoral exports compared to the same month in 2023, reaching 625,037 tonnes, and a 15.6% increase in export value, reaching 884 million euros.
