Spanish imports of fresh fruits and vegetables have seen a 6% increase in volume and a 16% increase in value compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 1.5 million tons and €1.8 billion. Vegetable imports, including potatoes which made up 65% of the volume and 41% of the value, increased by 9% in volume and 17% in value. Fruit imports, led by bananas, increased by 3.6% in volume and 15% in value. This growth highlights the dynamics of the Spanish import market for fruits and vegetables.
