The Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) and Frutas de Chile have successfully advanced discussions with Mexican authorities, including Senasica, to approve the Systems Approach for exporting fresh grapes and kiwis from Chile to Mexico. This approach, already authorized for export to the United States, is expected to increase export competitiveness by reducing fumigation. Additionally, the meetings covered the export of oranges under the same system as other citrus fruits, improving the avocado export program to Chile, and shipping irradiated mangoes from fruit fly-free areas. Separately, SAG and Frutas de Chile also discussed with airport authorities the logistics of cherry shipments to China via sea or land.
