A dozen Moldovan fruit producers are representing the country at the Fruit Logistica trade fair in Berlin, seeking to sell cherries, plums, table grapes, and especially apples from the current and past harvests. All members of the Moldovan delegation have GLOBALG.A.P certificates and have previously successfully exported fruits to European and Arab countries. The producers are currently negotiating potential fruit supply to markets in Poland, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Great Britain, India, and the United Arab Emirates. Currently, 105 thousand tons of apples from the 2021 crop are stored in Moldova, with nearly 17 thousand tons exported in the beginning of April, indicating an increase in apple exports compared to March.
