Fruit prices in the transit market remained stable on November 6, 2022, with only minor increases. Prices per kilo for summer oranges ranged from 4 to 7 pounds, Baladi oranges from 3 to 4.5 pounds, Abusara oranges from 3.5 to 6.5 pounds, red turkey grapes from 5 to 8 pounds, crimson grapes from 9 to 13 pounds, cantaloupe from 4 to 8 pounds, mango cant and kit from 8 to 14 pounds, watermelon from 4 to 6 kg or 10 to 15 pounds, and various dates from 7 to 25 pounds per kilo. In other news, Egypt's agricultural exports surpassed 5.6 million tons in 2021, a milestone not reached before the pandemic, driven by the efforts of an Egyptian woman who opened new markets, updated laboratories, and improved the agricultural quarantine system.
