Vietnam has seen a 38% increase in fruit and vegetable exports in the first two months of 2022, reaching approximately 749.7 million USD, with projections to hit nearly 7 billion USD by year-end. This surge is primarily attributed to durian exports, anticipated to generate 3.5 billion USD. Despite potential disruptions to Europe and US shipments due to Red Sea tensions, exports to China, particularly durian, dragon fruit, jackfruit, banana, and mango, are predicted to rise. Additionally, medicinal herb, coconut, frozen fruit, and watermelon are among the Vietnamese products expected to enter the Chinese market in the future.
