The World Avocado Organization (WAO) has significantly increased promotional campaigns for avocados in Europe, with the number of campaigns rising from 9 in 2021 to 31 in 2023. The WAO's promotional campaign is focused on social and digital media, public relations and general communication, as well as supermarket campaigns. The WAO has also worked to involve other countries, such as Israel, Colombia, Spain, Morocco, Chile, and Kenya, in promoting and increasing avocado consumption in Europe.
