Thailand has successfully maintained its agricultural exports to China and India despite the Covid-19 pandemic, thanks to the free trade agreements (FTAs) with these countries. The webinar "FTA Leads Thai Agriculture Through Covid-19, Entering the Dragon Market and the Land of Bharata" highlighted the benefits of these FTAs, which have led to significant growth in exports to China and India since their implementation. In the first five months of 2021, Thailand saw a 45% increase in agricultural exports to China and an 84% increase to India. The Department of International Trade Negotiations and the Thai Chamber of Commerce emphasized the potential of the Chinese and Indian markets, given their large populations and demand for Thai agricultural products. The webinar also underscored the growing market for 'future food' and healthy food in these markets.
