The article reports an increase in the average purchase price of extra-grade milk in Ukraine, reaching UAH 19.70/kg excluding VAT, a rise of 65 kopecks from the previous month. Prices for higher and first-grade milk also increased. The milk price rise, coupled with a decrease in the volume of exports of exchange-traded goods, is expected to halt when the New Year holidays in Europe occur. There is an expectation of a decrease in the volume of sales of fresh dairy products due to recent price increases. If the current raw milk price trend continues, a situation similar to 2023, when domestic companies imported butter, is likely. European cheeses are becoming more popular in Ukraine due to their lower prices, and local dairy markets are experiencing changes due to lower production costs in Europe.
