Gangjin County distributed the "Direct Payment for Forestry and Public Interest Services" on the 23rd to ensure the income stability of forestry workers and to promote the public interest functions of forests. According to Gangjin County, this forestry direct payment project was carried out from April to December this year, benefiting 88 forestry workers across a total of 395 hectares of forest land. The recipients include 62 area direct payment recipients, 26 forestry business direct payment recipients, and 7 dual-occupation recipients who applied for both area and forestry business. The total amount of funds allocated for this project is 288 million won, which will be paid to forestry workers who have been diligently managing forests and performing public interest functions.
