Gangwon Farmers Association implements rural labor assistance with 'Nongsimcheonsim Service Team'

[Korea Farmers' News Agency Reporter Lee Woo-jung] The Gangwon Branch of the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives, along with the Wonju City Branch, Sinlim Agricultural Cooperative, Korea Tourism Organization, and the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources, conducted a joint rural labor assistance activity at a paprika farm located on Songgye-ro in Sinlim-myeon, Wonju City, on the 23rd. About 50 employees from each organization participated in the rural labor assistance to help alleviate the labor shortage for farms during the peak harvest season. Kim Kyung-rok, head of the Gangwon Branch of the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives, said, "I hope that even a small amount of help can be provided to farms that are struggling with labor shortages as we enter the full harvest season" and "We will continue to promote rural labor assistance and mutually beneficial cooperative activities in collaboration with local related organizations in the future."
