Garlic cultivation gains agricultural zoning for climate risk

Garlic is the latest vegetable included in the National Agricultural Risk Zoning Program for Climate (Zarc), which establishes the production regions and the most favorable planting times for cultivation in Brazilian territory. The initiative is based on the probabilities or risk of production loss caused by adverse weather events. The ordinances were published by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU) last Tuesday (25).
