The latest GB animal feed production figures, including data on cereal usage and feed production up to October, show a 1.9% decrease in total animal feed production from July to October, the lowest level since 2016/17. This decline is primarily driven by decreases in pig, sheep, and poultry compounders sectors, with pig feed production down 6.3%, sheep feed production down 17.1%, and non-integrated poultry compounders feed production down 2%. Usage of wheat, barley, maize, and oats for animal feed has also decreased, with barley being the only cereal to see a yearly rise in usage.
