On April 2, the Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction reported a 2.8% increase in the dairy price index, marking a recovery after two sessions of decline. The auction revealed mixed price movements among dairy products: while lactose and dry butter oil prices fell by 3.1% and 0.5% respectively, prices for cheddar, dry whole milk, butter, dehydrated milk fat, and skim milk powder experienced increases, with cheddar leading at a 4.1% rise. Notably, mozzarella was absent from this auction's offerings. A total of 18.7 thousand tons of dairy products were sold to 168 participants, achieving a weighted average price of $3,558/ton. The next auction is anticipated on April 16. The article also highlights that the Ukrainian oil market has achieved independence from imports.
