Global Dairy Trade price index strengthened by 4.4%

On October 3, the Global Dairy Trade (GDT) dairy price index maintained its upward trend, adding 4.4%. However, the prices of lactose (by 1.3% to $594/ton) and cheddar (by 4.8% to $3853/ton) fell. The rest of the stock market dairy products increased in price: – dry skimmed milk – by 6.6% – up to $2,558/ton; – dry whole milk – by 4.8% – up to $2931/ton; – dehydrated milk fat – by 3.7% – up to $4,979/ton; – butter – by 1.3% – up to $4,806/ton; – dry butter oil – by 0.6% – up to $2,245/ton.
