In 2025, the European Union's (EU) rapeseed production is projected to rise by 2.5 million tons to 19.4 million tons, although this will be below the record harvest of 20.2 million tons in 2023, despite an expansion in sown areas by 400 thousand hectares. The largest increase in production is anticipated in Romania, with a nearly 67% rise to 750 thousand tons, followed by Bulgaria, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and the Baltic republics. In contrast, France's harvest is expected to decrease by 2%. EU rapeseed processing remains high, leading to a significant reduction in stocks, which are predicted to drop below 900 thousand tons by the end of June from 1.53 million tons the previous year.
