Peru's ginger exports are projected to rank among the top 10 agro-export products this year due to growing demand in markets like the United States and the Netherlands. In 2020, ginger exports saw a 155% increase from 2019, generating €88.4 million in revenue. The country exports ginger to 13 countries, including Spain, Canada, and the UK. The Peruvian Association of Exporters (ADEX) is advocating for public-private cooperation to further boost ginger cultivation and marketing. Peru is the third largest ginger exporter globally, known for its high-quality ginger with a unique taste and texture due to Peru's climate and soil conditions.
