The USDA predicts a slight increase in worldwide apple production for the 2023/24 season, primarily due to increased harvest volumes in China, South Africa and the United States. The increase in production is expected to lead to higher apple exports from the USA, Iran, and China. However, apple production in Ukraine is anticipated to decrease by about 15% due to unfavorable weather conditions, leading to an increase in the share of smaller caliber fruits and products intended for processing.
