Global tilapia supply expected to grow at a good pace in 2024

Global tilapia production continues to rise, as indicated by recent data from FAO and international consultancies. In 2023, the growth recorded was 3% compared to the previous year, bringing the numbers to a range between 6.65 and 6.7 million tons, according to the sources consulted. This increase is significant, considering that in 2020 global production was around 6.1 million tons.
