The functionality and industrial value of mountain ginseng, a representative "forest food" produced in our forests, have been academically re-evaluated. The Korean Mountain Ginseng Association (President Yeo Jin-gi) held the '2025 Academic Presentation' at the Promotion and Education Center for Mountain Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs of the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute on the 12th, focusing on the excellence of mountain ginseng, its value as a functional ingredient, and ways to advance industrialization. The event, which was hosted by the Korean Mountain Ginseng Association, the only academic organization specializing in mountain ginseng in South Korea, was attended by around 200 people from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, academia, research institutions, local governments, and mountain ginseng farmers, drawing much attention.
