Gochang County holds a peanut new variety evaluation meeting.

On the 14th, the Gochang County Daesung Agricultural Cooperative's Peanut Processing Business Office held a "Peanut New Variety Evaluation Meeting" with around 100 attendees, including peanut-growing farmers in the area and county officials. This evaluation meeting included an introduction to the current status of peanut cultivation in Gochang County and the operation of the processing business office, as well as an exhibition and tasting event of new peanut varieties developed by the National Institute of Crop Science. Participants directly compared the characteristics and appearances of different varieties to examine those with high regional adaptability. Gochang County is a leading peanut production area in Jeollabuk-do, with a cultivation area of approximately 400 hectares, which is increasing annually.
