[Goheung County, Reporter Kang-san Lee of the Korean Farmers and Fishermen Newspaper] Goheung County (Mayor Gong-yeong-min) is actively pushing forward the Yangseong-hwa project to convert illegally used farm shacks into legal "rural stay-type shelters." In accordance with the revision of the Agricultural Land Act Enforcement Decree implemented in January, Goheung County has revised the system to allow the registration of farm shacks that meet safety standards and installation requirements as rural stay-type shelters. Until now, there have been increasing cases where farm shacks, which were allowed as temporary facilities for rest during agricultural work, were illegally used for residential or lodging purposes on some farmlands, raising issues. Goheung County is guiding the transition to legal stay-type shelters. As of the end of September, there were over 70 cases of rural stay-type shelters.
