The Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber is calling for changes in the criteria of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food to prevent farming groups from being restricted in accessing eco-aid.

After the Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber (BAC) leadership requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Food (MAF) to adjust the draft guidelines for applying for the intervention for investments in agricultural holdings aimed at environmental protection at the end of last week, representatives of the sector indicated that they have strong doubts about the deliberate limitation of access to more groups and organizations for this support. The BAC sent their position on October 24. We remind that the sector has the right to give its opinions on these guidelines until October 30 (Friday). The chamber disputes one of the criteria for evaluating investment projects, relating to the ratio between the declared value of the investment and the average operating profit of the candidate for the last 3 completed financial years (2022–2024).
