South Korea: Goheung seaweed enters the Chinese market, opening export routes to new markets

Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do recently held an event to export Goheung seaweed to China at Yeollim Food. At this loading event, about 10 officials, including Director of Agricultural Policy Division Ryu Sa-seok, Agricultural Technology Center Director Park Jeong-un, and Fisheries Distribution Team Leader Kim Young-woo, attended and congratulated Goheung Kim on his advancement into the Chinese mainland. This export is significant as it follows that the Goheung County Agricultural and Fishery Products Export Pioneer Group, led by County Governor Gong Young-min, signed an export agreement worth a total of $15 million through a business trip to Weihai and Wenzhou, China, last September.
