The Department of Internal Trade in Thailand is discussing with local associations to address the issue of procurement of raw materials for animal feed, specifically paddy and brown rice. The goal is to help feed producers and rice mill operators. However, due to the fear of a surplus of 25 million tons of paddy, the price has collapsed, and the Thai Feed Manufacturers Association has proposed to purchase only 300,000 tons of brown rice from the mill's offer of 4 million tons, at a price lower than 1 baht per kg of corn. This proposal was rejected by the feed producers, and the purchase price and delivery are still under discussion.
