The Bolivian government, led by President Luis Arce, has reassured the public that there is no shortage of flour in the domestic market and clarified that Argentina has not banned flour exports to Bolivia. The government, through the Food Production Support Company (Emapa), has a stockpile of 130,000 tons of wheat to ensure flour production. The price increase of wheat on the international market, due to the war between Russia and Ukraine, was described as a speculative effect. The government also noted that Argentina has a substantial wheat stock of over 12 million tons for both domestic use and export.
