The government has raised the prices of milk, meat and egg to be sold at its outlets in Dhaka city marking the Ramadan beginning on Friday.The sale of the food items will start on the first day of holy month of fasting and continue until 28th Ramadan, said a press release issued on Wednesday.Fisheries and livestock minister SM Rezaul Karim will inaugurate the sales operations on the day on the premises of Livestock Services Department in Dhaka.The government’s mobile vehicles will sell milk at Tk 80 per litre, beef at Tk 640 per kilogramme, mutton at Tk 940 a kg, dressed broiler chicken at Tk 340 per kg and egg Tk 10 per piece, said another release on Tuesday. In 2022, milk was sold at Tk 60 per litre, beef at Tk 550 per kg, mutton at Tk 800 a kg, dressed broiler chicken at Tk 200 per kg and four eggs at Tk 30.The sale will be available at 20 locations including Abdul Gani road adjacent to the secretariat, Khamarbari in Farmgate, Japan Garden City in Mahammadpur, Mirpur 60 feet ...
