The Presidential Goat Scheme, designed to distribute 6,000 goats to 35,000 villages and potentially reach 1.8 million homesteads, has been halted due to issues stemming from the failure of contractors to deliver the animals. Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development Minister, Dr Anxious Masuka, announced the pause, indicating that the scheme will reactivate after a thorough review to address the shortcomings experienced.
