In September, grain exports from Russia amounted to 5.68 million tons, which is 28% less than the previous year, according to monitoring by the Russian Grain Union (RGU), reports "Interfax." According to Elena Tyurina, director of the analytical department of the association, the trend of reducing shipments has been ongoing since the beginning of the season and continues to persist. "In particular, 5.12 million tons of wheat were shipped, which is 23.5% less than the 6.69 million tons shipped a year earlier," she said. Also, according to Tyurina, barley shipments decreased by 2.2 times to 438 thousand tons, and corn shipments decreased twofold to 124.7 thousand tons.

Moreover, she notes, there is a reduction in the range of exported grains, legumes, and oilseed crops. Thus, in September 2024, 24 types of products were exported, while in September of this year, only nine were exported.
