Russia's grain exports have reached a record high of 60 million tons since the start of the agricultural year, an increase of over 10 million tons from the previous year, according to the Union of Grain Exporters. The exports include over 5 million tons of wheat. There has also been a significant increase in exports of feed crops like barley and corn. Russian exporters have been expanding into new markets, with the share of supplies to the Middle East and North Africa decreasing from 80% to 65%, while the share in Asia, sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America has increased, with countries such as Indonesia, Morocco, and Eritrea rediscovering as major suppliers. The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia anticipates that grain exports this season will reach a record 70 million tons.
