From the beginning of the agricultural season 2025-2026, which started on July 1, until October, Ukraine has reduced the export of grains and legumes by over 36% compared to the first quarter of the previous season to 6.556 million tons, according to the press center of the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of the country, citing data from the Ukrainian State Customs Service. Only in September, the decline in exports was half as weak – by almost 17% to 2.351 million tons. In the first quarter of the season, exported wheat decreased by over 21% compared to the same period of the 2024-2025 season to 4.696 million tons.
