According to the results of the first week of October, the average daily volume of grain and meal shipments through the western border crossings increased by 84% compared to September. Valery Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Operations at Ukrzaliznytsia, noted that the total average daily volume of grain and meal shipments through the western borders now stands at 125 wagons, which is 57 wagons more than in September. The largest increase in exports was through the Ukrainian-Slovak crossings - by 8.7 wagons per day, to 22.1 wagons per day. At the same time, supplies to Poland increased by 3.1 wagons, to 14.3 units per day.
