The Russian Federation's wheat exports to Indonesia increased tenfold during the past agricultural year, with Grain Gates being the country's largest grain exporter, having shipped 14.1 million tons of agricultural products abroad. This represents an 81% increase from the previous year, with the majority of exports being grain crops such as wheat, barley, and corn. The company expanded its supply destinations from 26 to 42 countries and increased its presence in deep and low water ports. Russia exported over 70 million tons of grain during the season, increasing its share in the global wheat market to 28%. Indonesia was among the top buyers of Russian grain products, with a significant increase in wheat, millet, and coriander purchases.
