The Integrated Agricultural Market Information System of MRiRW has reported changes in domestic and EU grain purchase prices for the week of 23-29 September 2024. In Poland, the price of consumption wheat increased by 2% from the previous week and by 3% from the week before that, but was 8% lower than the previous year. The country's feed barley price decreased by 1% from the previous week but increased by 2% from the week before that, and was 5% lower than the previous year. The average price of triticale in Poland increased by 1% from the previous week and was 13% lower than the previous year. Corn prices in Poland and the EU decreased by 8-9% from the previous year.
In the EU, the average price of consumption wheat was EUR 208/t, an increase of 0.5% from the previous week and 3% from the week before that, but a decrease of 7% from the previous year. The average price of feed barley in the EU was EUR 183/t, an increase of 2% from the previous week and 3% from the week before that, but a decrease of 6% from the previous year. The average price of corn in the EU was EUR 208/t, a decrease of 1% from the previous week and 2% from the week before that, and a decrease of 5% from the previous year.
Export prices of grains on monitored foreign markets increased significantly in the first week of October 2024, with the average export price of HRW wheat in the USA increasing by 6%, American SRW wheat increasing by 6%, food wheat in France increasing by 6%, feed barley in France increasing by 6.5%, and corn in the US increasing by 4%.
