The Russian Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, has designated the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center of Agroanalytics" as the operator of the Federal Grain Traceability System, which is set to commence operations in 2022. The system will initially focus on grain from July 1, 2022, with mandatory registration starting September 1. The scope will then expand to include grain processing products from January 1, 2023, with mandatory tracking starting March 1, 2023. The 'Center of Agroanalytics' will oversee the system's operation, which includes collecting, storing, processing, and distributing information pertaining to the production, transportation, storage, processing, sale, and disposal of grain and grain processing products. However, the system will not track information about grain processing products intended for retail sales or those stored in the state reserve.
