During the period of mass harvest, the cost of agricultural products traditionally decreases, as large volumes of grain and oilseeds enter the market. This deprives farmers of fair profitability. However, in recent seasons, the government has been able to use price stabilization tools that help avoid a collapse. This includes the purchase of grain in the resources of the Food Corporation, as well as transport subsidies for the export of wheat to distant markets. Triggers for price growth At the end of September, the Grain Union of Kazakhstan noted that the wheat market had reached a price bottom - for wheat of the 4th class, the average price was then 74 thousand tenge/ton, for ordinary 3rd class - 87 thousand tenge (including VAT).
