Manisa, Turkey's leading region in grape production, is currently in its grape harvest season, which lasts from July to December, contributing significantly to the country's market with 86 percent of dried grapes and 55 percent of table grapes. The Sarıgöl district, covering 271 thousand acres, has seen increased efficiency and profitability thanks to the use of 35 million meters of cover, protecting grapes from adverse weather and increasing yield and profit. The region has achieved an average annual grape export value of $606 million, with a current sale price of $1.20 per kilo, and is expected to continue earning from grape exports until the end of the year.
