Gratitude from a cherry producer affected by frost to the state for support

Farmer Sadettin Kızılkaya from Mihalıççık, known for its cherry production, thanked the state for the 55 million 137 thousand lira support payment provided to 606 farmers negatively affected by the agricultural frost. The extreme cold and agricultural frost disaster, which was effective in Eskişehir between April 10-13, 2025, caused approximately 50-100 percent damage to all fruit trees as well as quince, pear, almond, walnut, apple, plum, apricot, cherry, peach, and grape trees. Under the scope of the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette on September 14, 2025, the damages to the fruit trees were determined by the District Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry. Farmers registered in the Farmer Registration System, without agricultural insurance, and who applied with a petition, benefited from the frost damage support.
